Ms mr. Karin Salomons began her legal career in Haarlem and joined the Wladimiroff & Spong advocaten law firm in 1980. The Salomons van der Valk advocaten law firm was formed on 1 May 2000 and Karin Salomons has been affiliated to Salomons Beelaerts Advocaten since 1 January 2020.
Karin studied at the University of Leiden, majoring in private law. She has been a lawyer since 1974 and won the 'Philosopher's Stone' ('Steen der Wijzen') for this.
Thanks to her experience and love of the profession, she has become specialised in multiple legal fields.
Karin is a member of the Dutch Labour Law Association ('Vereniging voor Arbeidsrecht') and the Dutch Procedural Law Association. She was also a member of the Dutch Primary and Secondary Education Appeals Committee ('Commissie van Beroep Lager en Voortgezet Onderwijs') for 30 years.
In the past, she chaired the Jonge Balie Haarlem lawyers association and was a member of the Board of Representatives of the Netherlands Bar Association.
Karin says: 'A good lawyer is expected to think solely of the interests of the client: how can the best results be achieved at the lowest possible costs, within a reasonable term?’
Karin Salomons has been professionally active in the field of animal welfare for many years. She also frequently represents the interests of doctors in medical disciplinary proceedings.
Karin has recorded the following primary (and sub-)fields of law in the legal fields register of the Netherlands Bar:
- General practice (civil law)
- Labour law
On the basis of this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points per calendar year in each registered primary field of law, in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar.

Karin Salomons heeft in het rechtsgebiedenregister van de Nederlandse orde van advocaten de volgende hoofd- (en sub) rechtsgebieden geregistreerd:
- Algemene Praktijk (burgerlijk recht)
- Arbeidsrecht
Op grond van deze registratie is zij verplicht elk kalenderjaar volgens de normen van de Nederlandse orde van advocaten tien opleidingspunten te behalen op ieder geregistreerd hoofdrechtsgebied.
