Ms mr. (Natasja) Overeem studied law at Leiden University and has been a lawyer since 1997. For many years, she was a partner at Maaldrink Vermeulen Grooss in The Hague and after operating a practice at Salomons Van der Valk Advocaten, became a partner at Salomons Beelaerts Advocaten on 1 January 2020.
Natasja provides advice and litigates in general practice, focusing primarily (but certainly not exclusively) on property law, including tenancy law, owners association law and neighbours' statutory rights and obligations. She also litigates fairly regularly against financial institutions, for example with regard to client investigations pursuant to the Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorist Financing Act (Wet ter voorkoming van witwassen en financieren van terrorisme - Wwft)), interest swaps and unlawful cancellations of banking relationships. Natasja attaches importance to good relations with her clients, many of whom are regular clients, and will always make a thorough assessment of the choice between litigation and seeking a tailor-made solution. Her working method is perceived as direct and congenial.
Natasha has recorded the following primary (and sub-)fields of law in the legal fields register of the Netherlands Bar:
- General Practice, civil law
- Property law
On the basis of this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points per calendar year in each registered primary field of law, in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar.
