Ms mr. P.C. (Pauline) Burger studied at the University of Leiden. Even while she was still a student, Pauline had a special interest in personal and family law. Following a training placement in the Family section of the District Court of The Hague, Pauline remained associated with the District Court as an external registrar until her graduation in 2000.
After graduation, she worked for 10 years at RWV Advocaten, before moving on to the (former) Krans & Van Hilten Advocaten law firm. At this firm, she built up an international ex-pat practice, among other things. She continued this practice at De Familiekamer Advocaten & Mediators law firm before moving to Salomons Beelaerts Advocaten on 1 April 2023.
In addition to being a lawyer, Pauline is also a mediator and a member of vFAS.
Through her international private and professional background, she is fluent in English and clients can also contact her in French.
Pauline prefers to resolve existing disputes through consultation, particularly where children are involved. If this does not prove possible, she will not avoid litigation.
Pauline has recorded the following primary (and sub-)fields of law in the legal fields register of the Netherlands Bar:
- Personal and Family law (divorces, alimony cases, visitation arrangements, international private law).
On the basis of this registration, she is required to obtain ten training points per calendar year in each registered primary field of law, in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar.
