mr. Robbert van Opstal (1975) has been a lawyer since 2003. Robbert is a born entrepreneur and will use every opportunity to make your business stronger. He has a large network and is consequently also a member of the Spaanse Polder Business Council, a council of 11 entrepreneurs who represent the businesses in the Spaanse Polder in the municipality of Rotterdam, and who work together with the municipal authority.

His legal background lies in real estate. His specialisations lie at the cutting edge between public and private law, leasehold and the more complex real estate problems. He frequently works on Public Private Partnership (PPS) and Government Liability issues. Robbert has extensive experience with the government. For five years, he was part of the 'forever chemicals' (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS)) team of the Water and Soil Directorate General at the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. He also has very extensive knowledge of litigation and procedural law. Robbert is a co-author of Sdu Commentaar Burgerlijk Procesrecht. He prefers to use his knowledge of procedural law to prevent problems from resulting in litigation. A practical solution and the welfare of the business always have preference. Robbert regularly publishes on these matters in leading trade journals.

In June 2015, Robbert also completed the estate management course for the Dutch Estate Managers Association ('Nederlandse Vereniging voor Rentmeesters (NVR)'). In June 2008, he completed the Grotius Real Estate post-doctoral specialisation course. The combination of a lawyer with the practical approach of an estate manager ensures that he can provide support in many different ways. Robbert supports project developers, agricultural and other businesses and government bodies.

Robbert has recorded the following primary (and sub-)fields of law in the legal fields register of the Netherlands Bar:

- Agricultural law

- Property law

On the basis of this registration, he is required to obtain ten training points per calendar year in each registered primary field of law, in accordance with the standards of the Netherlands Bar.
